Our experience with Duplessis Pools is nothing short of horrible. What should have been an exciting $62K+ pool project has become months of delays, poor workmanship, construction mistakes, and constant battles just to get problems corrected. I was also harassed several times for money that was already paid in cash(text proof 6x) The pool was built at the wrong depth, and Duplessis initially refused to correct it until the bank withheld payment for breach of contract. I sent the signed copy of the change to the bank. Owner blamed me for not catching his mistake in another proposal that was not signed by me.The shell eventually had to be jackhammered out and redone, then jackhammered again to fix cracks, followed by patches of hydraulic cement, only to continue leaking. We now have continued cracking and water intrusion at the repair areas. I provided Duplessis with a private engineer’s report on the condition, cause, and proper repair, which they admit to have no intention in following.They have also destroyed my driveway and fought against repairing it. After photos and videos of Dp accessing the street and driveway, and months of arguing,they came back and patched is subpar. The pool deck was poured without the required isolation joint against our existing slab. Duplessis refused to correct it until I contacted the City of Kenner and had a code insp come out and confirm it was a code violation. This is a standard code in IRC (ISPSC) which no municipality can supersede, it was also referenced by lslbc, which a contractor should know. . I repeatedly reported excessive water usage in text approx 5 x's starting on July 16. Duplessis claimed the fill valve had been checked and was off, yet their own photos showed it was on starting in July. They took the direct photos of the valve approx 4 x's and never noticed it was on.They used my hose on July 14. My hose has been on my home for years and only removed when DP used used it to pressure wash. A plumber and water co confirmed the valve had been left on since July 14th, costing us months of high bills and a plumber that should never have been necessary. Duplessis took ZERO liability as of today. He blames me on having a hose! For two month our pool sits untouched while we wait for answers and corrections. We paid a priv engineer, independent professionals, and the City of Kenner just to get basic issues addressed, because our concerns weren't enough. When the concrete code violation was confirmed, they refused to finish the pool shell waterproofing and plaster, although the two are not affecting each other. This has been their form of punishment in response to complaints or concerns throughout this project. The biggest problem has been the lack of accountability, communication, and professionalism. We were repeatedly given promises and timelines that were not followed, and raising legitimate concerns often resulted in defensiveness and delaysbas you will see in his response. When asked if they subcontract their work,I was told everyone was in house. That was a lie! The gunite, concrete, and plaster, plumbing, and electric are all different companies. The workmanship is POOR, the communication is poor, and getting Duplessis to stand behind their work is an exhausting fight. We would never use this company again and strongly recommend doing your homework before signing a contract. Dont be fooled by their near 5 star reviews. The is due to the wording in their contract. I found the language intimidating enough that I can understand why someone who had a bad experience might hesitate to leave a negative review or publicly share. Customers should be able to honestly share their experiences without intimidation from posting.(CRFA) 2016, companies are banned from using standard form contract that restrict customers from sharing honest feedback, ratings, or complaints about products or services. Check your contract. Owners response is comical, no one would do 10k+ in extra work if they aren't liable. Wheres accountability? The blaming me continues.+18Posted on Google

As with any big project, there will be bumps in the road. It's not whether there will be bumps - it is how it is handled. In the end, our pool project is everything we'd have hoped for, and more. Taylor, our PM, was incredibly professional and communicative. He kept the project moving along and kept us up to date. Our Southeast Louisiana residence now has a wonderful gunite, customized pool includes a hot tub, interior side bench, 3 fountains, heater, chiller, and tanning ledge with bubblers.+3Posted on Google

From the beginning of our pool and spa project, the entire process has been handled with professionalism, organization, and attention to detail. I especially want to recognize our project manager, Josh Harris. Josh has been outstanding throughout the entire process. His communication has been clear and consistent, and he has always made sure we understood what was happening and what to expect next. His planning, organization, and professionalism have been top-notch and have made what could be a stressful process much easier and more enjoyable for our family. Building a pool and spa is a major investment, and having someone like Josh overseeing the project gives you confidence that everything is being properly planned and managed. His commitment to communication and customer service has truly stood out. If you are considering building a pool or spa in South Louisiana or Mississippi, in my opinion, Duplessis Pools is the clear choice. Their reputation, experience, and quality speak for themselves. Being recognized as a Top 50 pool builder is an accomplishment that reflects the level of craftsmanship and professionalism they bring to their projects. We are extremely pleased with our experience so far and would highly recommend Duplessis Pools to anyone looking to build a beautiful pool and spa. Mike Phelps22 days agoOur project manager was one of a kind. Couldn’t have been happier with his willingness to make things work for us. We out a large request on him to have the pool ready for the 4th of July and he came out on the 3rd to do the start up for us…after 6:00pm that evening! He worked to address everything that was within his authority to address and put himself out when it couldn’t be addressed by the company itself. Taylor has come out multiple times to address some small items including a position of the pool pump controls. It was refreshing to deal with a project manager that didn’t just delegate, but took the initiative to handle it himself. We walked away with a pool and a friend. Rebecca Miller27 days agoTaylor has been a man of his word throughout this process. He responds quickly, managed to get the different groups of workers to the jobsite right on time ( that is quite a skill). Built a beautiful pool that has the perfect function for our extended family. I feel the design and excellent build have produced a safe pool for all three generations of us, at the agreed on time scale and at a price that is very, very fair. There have been no surprises. All of the workers have been respectful and professional and altogether pleasant which is a credit to Taylor and the team at Duplessis Pools. I highly recommend them. Rebecca MillerPosted on Google
